City Park Identity Exploration
Case Study

Objective
The objective was to explore concepts for a City Park logo. One of our goals was to design with flexibility in mind. The park logo and visual system would most likely appear across various touchpoints including print media, social media, signage, apparel, and service vehicles.

Exploration
To begin our process, several design principles were established with input from the city and its community members. These principles helped determine the attributes that would be reflected in the identity design.

1. Connecting the neighborhood (welcoming)

2. Building community (vibrant community life & activities)

3. Gather together (meaningful places)

4. Celebrating people & place (neighborhood history)

5. Engaging all ages (child-friendly)

Inspiration
The area has a rich history rooted in the textile industry, and a vibrant culture of neighborhood life and civic activism. These qualities served as inspiration during the concept development process.

Applications
Exemplifying how the preferred identity can be applied across various touchpoints. The logo is flexible and can be used as an expressive pattern.
